The Children's Book Council of Australia is a not-for-profit, volunteer run organisation which aims to engage the community with literature for young Australians.
The Children’s Book Committee was founded more than 100 years ago to help parents, teachers, and librarians choose the books that children will find captivating and transforming. Every year it produces comprehensive annotated book lists for children aged infant through 16.
Awarded annually by the Association for Library Service to Children to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children.
The Pura Belpré Award, established in 1996, is presented annually to a Latino/Latina writer and illustrator whose work best portrays, affirms, and celebrates the Latino cultural experience in an outstanding work of literature for children and youth.
